“Little World is an animated drama in black and white that uses beautiful visuals to bring a Deaf girl’s world at a Victorian boarding school to life. Created by an array of volunteer animators across the world, Little World has been compared to the animated classic Persepolis, winning awards for its experimental storytelling.
Little World is a fictional story set in what was a real location: The Deaf and Dumb Asylum for Girls which once stood in Lower Clapton Road, Hackney, London (demolished in the 1930’s)
The debut short film from Becky Bailey, Little World was made as part of the BSLBT’s Zoom filmmaking scheme”
